Greenvale Textile Weekend
The dust has settled on another successful weekend of creative textile sewing at the small community of Greenvale. Ladies immersed themselves in the fine art of heirloom sewing, which included pin tucking, drawn fabric work through the use of a wing needle, ruching and lace insertion. By the end of the workshop, the participants expressed their admiration and an appreciation of the fine hand sewing skills possessed by our mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers. In this workshop, these hand skills were replicated with the sewing machine.
