Patty’s Sewing Center
A number of workshops were offered to the customers of Patty’s Sewing Center. These included Lacemaking, a 3-Dimensional In-the Hoop Project, and a Clutch Class. I have the privilege of facilitating these sessions over five days.
For the lace class, a collection from Zundt Designs, was used. These are digitised to the highest standard, and represent a quality for which Zundt is recognised worldwide.
Embroidery designs from a current publication by Tracey Sims Designs were used for the clutch. These designs, from “Springtime Daisies” were embroidered on a clutch panel and then constructed to create a unique and very personal accessory for each participant.
The In-the-Hoop project pushed the boundaries of machine embroidery. Participants were required to quilt, use trapunto techniques, applique and 3-D work to create a tiled wall hanging.
We learned much, had many laughs and enjoyed the company of persons who shared the common love of machine embroidery.
