Threads of Friendship Embroidery Retreat

Thirty ladies arrived at the Hotel grand Chancellor Resort at beautiful Palm Cove for four days of machine embroidery tuition.  Four projects were created and included embroidery techniques using puffy foam,  in-the-hoop creations, precision design placement and cross stitch.  Participants hailed from as far as Rockhampton through to Mossman and the Atherton tablelands.  Most attendees were “repeat offenders” and were thrilled to renew their acquaintances with previous year’s retreat-ees.  And the “new-bies” were made very welcome.  Our threads of friendship intertwined all participants.  Almost everything “embroidery” was brought to the retreat.
