Threads of Friendship Retreat

Palm Cove, in the beautiful tropical north Queensland, was the venue for thirty ladies, and courageous partners to come together for four days of machine embroidery tuition.  Apart from the learning, there was laughter, tears, hugs and fun.  The participants created Nut Huts which were placed on display in the foyer of the resort.  This was the retreat’s fund raising activity for the Queensland Cancer Council.

Participants sewed coffee cup carriers which were swapped and will be a lovely memento of a wonderful weekend.

Our Show and Share allowed ladies to display, with pride, their embroidery pieces, and to inspire other to strive for their personal best.

Although this retreat has come to a close, the threads of friendship have worked their magic with most participants already planning their next retreat adventure.
