Australian Sewing Guild National Convention

We are entering our fourth day of intensive sewing and fun.  There is always a buzz around the breakfast table, as discussions are held, planning the activities for each day.  And at dinner time, more animated conversations can be heard about the days events, the challenges, the sewing, the unpicking, and the new sparkles of knowledge that each person has gained.

Evenings offer a little light relief from the serious sewing of the day.  Monday evening entertained us with an amazing array of resort wear, designed and stitched by guild members.  Tuesday night saw us taxing our brains with a sewing trivia competition.  Wednesday allowed participants to dress up and dine while cruising the Brisbane River.

My group completed their Cooktown Orchid and proudly showed their efforts to fellow participants.  Currently we are working on an embellished lined casual jacket.
