Greenvale Crafting Weekend

Valentine’ Day in Greenvale, a small community 2.5 hours north west of Townsville, was celebrated with the love of sewing.  Nine participants ranging from the age of ten, through to more senior years experimented with sewing techniques.  The outcome was a series of brightly coloured activity mats for pre-school children at the local school.  techniques learned included pocket creation, zip insertion, buttonholes, the correct application of buttons, clips and hooks to name a few.  And the children using these mats will learn colours, shapes, lacing, spatial awareness, and eye/hand co-ordination.

Everyone had a fabulous time and learned more features of their machines.
