Machine Embroidery at Le Pensee Quilting Studio

Le Pensee Quilting Studio is nestled amongst the gum trees, at Benarkin. The Bell Birds chime all day, creating a cheery backdrop for the embroidery workshop.

Ladies came from as far as Brisbane and Jandowae to spend the weekend in the country with friends and sew.  The ambience of the quilting studio was transformed by the sounds of embroidery machines, earnestly stitching the designs.  The project challenged the participants.  Using the capabilities of the machines, ladies were required to precisely position embroidery to create a table runner.

A second project, a cross stitch design was sewn as an “in-the-hoop” exercise.  A variety of techniques were covered during the two and half day experience.

Ros was our hostess for the weekend.  And with her capable assistants, Monica and Pauline, she provided beautiful home cooked, country style meals and eats.  These wee enjoyed by all.

I was thrilled with the work that the participants produced.  Each person advanced their skills and confidence.  Congratulation to you all for taking the challenge.  And I look forward to meeting again in 2017.
