Trapunto Torres Strait Turtle

Herbert River Quilting members met for a weekend of fun, sewing and patchwork.  Each person stepped away from their comfort area and created a turtle wall hanging.  Piecing, Trapunto, patchwork and raw-edge quilting were some of the many techniques applied to this project.  The fellowship and support that members offer within the group ensures that all will complete their unique and creative pieces.

It was a wonderful weekend, – great friends, good food, much laughter, and minimal reverse sewing exercises.
